My Milkshake Brings all the Boys to the Yard!

Don’t get too excited, when I say “boys”, I literally mean pre-pubescent 10 and 13 year olds, generally accompanied by an 11 year old little girl who’s actually a tomboy.  Yep.  They come a runnin’ for my milkshake!  Whoop Whoop!

It’s October and it happens to be a beautiful sunny day!  One of the lasts for the year I’m sure, so I’m enjoying the warm temperature with my nice cold chocolate peanut butter banana milkshake!

How do you make this delicious and simple milkshake?

For an individual serving:

1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder

1 dollop Vanilla Yogurt

1 frozen banana

1 dollop of Peanut Butter

1 squeeze of honey for sweetness (about a teaspoon)

½ cup milk

½ cup water

Tips:

Peel and chop up some bananas ahead of time and stick them in a ziplock bag and place in your freezer.

Use coconut or almond milk/yogurt if you’re avoiding dairy.

This milkshake is thin enough to drink through a straw, but you can thicken it with less water and more peanut butter.

Side note: Notice the milkshake is in a Mason jar? These are what we use as cups for the kids. In three years there has never been a broken glass!

Make this recipe your own by playing with the proportions of the ingredients.  There’s no wrong way to do it!

Oh, and don’t you dare ask me about calorie content.  It’s a healthy shake.  That’s all we need to focus on here!  Try to use the purest ingredients you can find.  Just do your best, it isn’t rocket science.
